Applying for a seal

UPDATED 24.10.2026 · 4 MIN

One seal covers one product for one destination market. You apply from the Seals page, and a reviewer decides.

Before you startOnly an Owner can apply for a seal. It helps to run a compliance check for the lane first, so you know what documents it asks for.
  1. 1
    Start the application

Open Seals and choose Apply for a seal, or start from the Compliance Checker. The steps are Product and market, Fill the gaps, Declaration and Review.

  2. 2
    Choose product and market

Pick the product and Destination market, then Continue.

  3. 3
    Fill the gaps

Passmark checks your Document vault against the requirements and shows how many are in place. Missing or expiring ones are listed. You can apply anyway; the reviewer sees the same list. If there is no requirement list for the lane yet, the reviewer checks your documents by hand.

  4. 4
    Sign the declaration

Read the declaration and sign it.

  5. 5
    Review and submit

Check the summary, including the projected score, then choose Submit application.

After you submit

The application page shows Submitted, then a reviewer is assigned, then a decision: Approved and the seal is published, or Not approved with what to fix. The page says most applications are decided in 1 to 3 working days, and issuer confirmations can add a few days.
