Printing seal labels on a thermal printer

UPDATED 24.10.2026 · 4 MIN

Each seal comes with a PDF stamp for documents and labels for sacks and cartons. Every one carries a QR code to the public check page, so scanning it shows the seal as it stands today.

Before you startStamps and labels never show a score, band or state, because a printed copy outlives them. Printing is paused while the seal is suspended, and unavailable if it is expired or revoked.
  1. 1
    Open the seal

Go to Seals, open the seal, and choose the Stamps and labels tab.

  2. 2
    Choose the format

Pick PDF stamp (for documents), Sack label, Carton label or Small label. The tab shows the size of each, and a preview.

  3. 3
    Choose black ink

Under Ink, choose Black for thermal printers, and for documents that will be faxed or photocopied. Black is one colour on white. Navy is for colour printing.

  4. 4
    Download the PDF

Choose Download labels PDF (or the PDF stamp). The preview on screen is only a preview; the PDF is the file to print.

  5. 5
    Print it right

Print at 100% scale, on white or unbleached stock. Never reverse the stamp out of a dark background. Keep 2 mm clear around the QR code, and do not print the stamp smaller than 45 x 18 mm.
