Mango export requirements for China (People's Republic)

Every overseas producer, processor or storage facility of food exported to China must be registered with the General Administration of Customs (GACC) under the registration provisions in force from 1 June 2026, which replaced Decree 248. Edible oils, nuts and seeds, dried fruit, dehydrated vegetables and seasoning powders are in the catalogue (GACC Announcement 2026 No. 27) that also needs a recommendation from Ghana's competent authority. Registration lasts 5 years and the registration number must be printed on the packaging. This lane covers processed and dried forms: Passmark has not confirmed a GACC access protocol for fresh Ghanaian mango, ginger or raw groundnuts.

Under GACC Decree 249, imported food must meet Chinese laws and national food safety standards; overseas exporters and agents file with GACC and importers file with their local customs; the importer must hold any entry animal and plant quarantine permit before signing the contract; and packaging and labels must meet Chinese standards, with Chinese-language labelling.
