What Valid, Expiring, Expired and Unreadable mean

UPDATED 24.10.2026 · 3 MIN

Every document in your vault has a status. The Needs attention tab collects the ones that need you.

Statuses

  • Valid: current. It counts toward your score.
  • Expiring: close to its expiry date (the vault counts documents expiring within 60 days). Upload the renewal now; the old copy is replaced once the new one is in.
  • Expired: past its expiry date. Upload the renewal so seals that rely on it stay valid.
  • Unreadable: Passmark could not read it automatically, so its details are blank and it is not counting yet. Choose Retry extraction or Enter details manually.
  • Rejected: rejected in review, with a reason shown. Upload a corrected version. It does not count toward your score.
  • Unverified: Passmark has no expiry date or status for it yet, and it did not fail to read.
