Where Ghana’s raw cashew goes

India (around 62%) and Vietnam (around 37%) take almost all of Ghana’s raw cashew nuts (RCN) for processing. The EU, UK and US mostly buy the finished kernel — which is where the value jump lies if you can process.

What the paperwork looks like

• Phytosanitary certificate from PPRSD.
• Additional declaration on the phyto certificate (India’s Plant Quarantine Order requires specific pest-freedom wording, set by the buyer’s import permit).
• Fumigation certificate — RCN is routinely fumigated; missing it risks on-arrival re-fumigation.
• Certificate of origin and a per-lot outturn (KOR) CoA.
